What I've learned is that it's important to have a vision and to hold on to it. More importantly it's even more important that you maintain a sense of knowing, to the point of certainty that it will happen. This knowing creates a feeling of joy and excitement before it even happens. After that, you just have to start taking steps towards what you want. The rest will unfold before you. It's pretty amazing actually. In fact, that's how my last event came to be.
As an example, here are the sequence of events:
- I had an inspired idea while on a plane.
- I got more and more excited about it each time I envisioned my idea.
- A few days later, I reached out to my best friend who shared my enthusiasm.
- I believed in my heart that it could happen.
- Then I made a phone call to get the ball rolling and the rest unfolded effortlessly!I
I purposely mentioned my best friend, because it's so important to have at least one person in your corner who supports your hopes and dreams. My best friend is amazing! He always shares in my excitement and encourages me, even when I doubt myself. He is one of the most positive, brave and strongest people I know. When he wants something, he stays focused and goes after it. He never waivers. We all need at least one person like that in our lives to support us and better yet, to emulate. For there is so much negativity out there. I shared the same idea with someone else, who told me that it couldn't happen in such a short time. They rattled off a list of reasons why it couldn't happen. That negativity almost caused me to give up on my idea. Had I allowed that negativity to seep in and take root, my event would not have happened and it would have been just another missed opportunity to regret. Keep your ideas and dreams away from naysayers like that when it comes to your plans for 2015. Keep them guarded and let the naysayers see the end results. Actions do speak louder than words. In 2015, let the success of your actions scream and sing out loud on your behalf. Best Wishes!
#Happy New Year 2015!
